Is only oil Libyan welt?

Let’s imagine desert of Sahara without oil. This will happen in 30 years, maybe 40 as much as Qadafi ruled. What after? Play in sand?
Libya has a better welt than oil. It is Sun of Sahara. I’ll use rough calculations, but they are very near the truth, if not just calculate. The average power of sun in Sahara is around 6kw per square meter. A photovoltaic cell of old fashion, capture around 7% of this power and transform in electricity. Sophisticated cells go up to 24%. Now let’s stay on 7%. This is 420wats. A square km has 1 million sq meters. Multiply with 420 and you’ll have an unimaginable figure of 420 millions of watts per square km. This is 420 Mw.
Sahara is mainly desert without people.  The surface is 600x600km. This power, which is under Libyan nose, can be captured. This can cover consumption of all Europe and Africa in electricity.
You have electricity, you desalinize water. Eternal problem solved better than Man Made River.

Now let us have a dream.
How to store this electricity? By batteries. The best batteries up to now are Lithium Ion batteries. Where is Lithium present? In Bolivia and Argentina is 75% of world resources of Lithium. Exchange with them oil for ore of Lithium, and make Capital of batteries in Benghazi, Tripoli, Tobruk. Where factories from? Japanese have the best factories. Make with them long term contract, and they’ll deliver you complete factories. TK factories. Turn on key factories. Make contracts to educate people. Nobody in the world learn foreign language better than Arab people. Solve storing of electricity in the time, there is no Sun. I tell Japanese, and not other penguins like Hyundai or so.

What is main resource for photovoltaic cells? Silicon. What is the main resource for silicon? Sand. Do you have sand in Sahara? Italy take 80% of energy from Libya.

They can make factories of glass, photovoltaic cells etc. Shouldn’t buy Juventus.

Now imagine this resource, and thousands of people in private factories making solar panels?

On the roads you can erect solar battery chargers, to charge electric cars.
Oh, yes I forgot. Together with West Europe (Germany) you can make a factory of battery cars, hybrid cars etc.
Personal I would forbid use of oil in cars.
Make Libya as your flag, your dream, GREEN.

Now I know greediness, will vanish such a dream. But keep in mind this is possible.
And somebody else will do this with your Sun.

Look  on 200 MW solar Utility:

I had a mix here, what should be your basic industry in view of larger resource of energy your country dispose. According, your basic activities. This is my personal idea, and I do not pretend is the best, but is subject of discussion.
I would be pleased if you visit my blog:
If I see interest, I'll continue with detailed ideas.
